Bible Alternative Feature.

(Note) This alternative interpretation of the bible looks at the Book of Genesis and at creation. Is there an organising intelligence dictating the shape of the Cosmos, or is it all dictated by physical laws and the uncertainty principle?

The biggest puzzle for mankind has always been "where does the cosmos come from, how did it begin, and if it did begin, what was there before it?" If the answer to the latter question was: "nothing", then how can something be made from nothing? If the cosmos was created by God then when did God begin, and how? This feature is written with the help of an extraterrestrial called Gentle (or so it is claimed by our resident contactee). What do you think? Is this a Unifying theory of the Cosmos?

Finally, be warned, this stuff is heavy and you need to have your brain in gear. Stick with it though. I read it and even began to understand it, when I learned to absorb each sentance slowly.(Editor)

Your Bible Got it Wrong.

Where do I begin? I have studied your Bible and the Book of Genesis and the whole premise of creation depicted there is incomplete and inaccurate. I have no argument with the concept of God but your race's understanding of God is quaint. On the one hand your zealots proclaim the total accuracy of everything depicted within bibles and religions. On the other, your scientists express a total denial of the concept of an intelligent and unifying force at the root of what you describe as the Cosmos. A Supreme Being, God, without whom the Cosmos could not exist.

So perhaps the best thing for me to do is re-write the opening verses of the Book of Genesis, in the way it would be written by my race, and based upon our broader knowledge of the Cosmos; and what you would describe as science. As much as possible I will use terms and concepts you should already be familiar with.

Genesis Revised.

There was no beginning, only a singularity. The singularity was, and is, both at the same time everything and nothing. Within the singularity there is at the same time infinite energy. Here the passage of time does not occur and there are, therefore, no distances.

Within the infinite energy are an infinite number, and type, of fluctuations, and within each, many different shapes of its energy occur. Within here is the Infinite Intelligence and root of all sentience.

And it is willed that such fluctuations occur within the infinite energy.

Now it is said there are an infinite number of fluctuations. We look at one place of many, where the energy becomes stretched between the nothing and everything that is the singularity, and Infinite Intelligence.

Within this fluctuation is an event where the energy is made less. With our words and minds it can be described as a stretch or arc within the infinite energy, with both its terminals remaining connected to the infinite energy. Within that stretch or arc at its central point, as well as others, exists the event, which is time. The passage, or speed, of that time at the point along the arc where it occurs, is not constant but graduated, as dictated by the even graduation of the energy variation.

(Note: added by Gentle on June 3rd 1999: This stretch or arc also controls a value you understand as "light speed". Light speed is considered by the majority of your race to be a "constant". But it is not. During expansion of the arc, light speed increases; during contraction it decreases. This phenomenon provides an observable illusion. When light speed is increasing, the universe appears to be shrinking in space time terms. In fact the opposite is happening. When the arc is contracting, light speed decreases, giving the illusion that the universe is expanding despite all indications that the reverse should be occuring. Since my last visit, the human race has gained the ability to detect and measure the gradual variation in light speed.)

Now within this passage of time, both ends of which are connected to the same points of the infinite energy as the event, the energy gains shape evenly as dictated by time. The nature of the fluctuation causes passage of time and the passage of time shapes the variation in energy.

The event has its root which is central and where passage of time does not exist. Outwards from that point, and evenly, time begins to exist gradually.

Time allows for distance or space, as it is referred to within our words and minds, and as it flows outwards from the root of the event so the space grows bigger. Thus the nature of the energy from within the infinite energy is made to change.

Now here, with our words and minds and residing where we do, we are able to look at the event as with the passage of time, and observe that the event occurred in our past. From this viewpoint it appears the event was an explosion, but that is not so: for the event is the fluctuation within the infinite energy within the singularity and is determined by the Infinite Intelligence.

It is from our viewpoint that after passage of time, looking into the past, that we see energy changed by time and the space allowed by time; also by the distance of the energy from the infinite energy or singularity. The changes to the energy allowed gasses to form. Particles within these gasses were attracted to each other and so condensed, creating dense pockets of energy (nuclear reactions). As these nuclear reactions grew bigger, sucking in more gasses, explosions occurred, creating further expansions of gasses, and within these too condensations occurred.

And these condensations were not regular, governed that they were by distances and passage of time from the event, and at which point from the event within the singularity that they originated.

These further condensations again exploded, causing further expansions, and again and again, until the nuclear reactions became modified such in some that stable matter was derived from the reactions.

Matter in some condensed, exploded, and became the many-shaped galaxies, some of which contain stars (suns); around some of these formed planets.

That then is how our universe, which is one of an infinite number, is formed. That then is how our cosmos, which is one of an infinite number, with an infinite variation of properties, is formed from one of an infinite number of events within the singularity.

This, then, is how there is no beginning or end to creation. This then is how all things are connected even when time and distance makes it appear to us that such connections cannot occur.

We look at our past but cannot see our future, yet both are the same. In that, it is so for the cosmos, for we are all without and within the singularity, for it is nothing and everything at the same time.

We look at our surroundings and at the vastness of time and its distances (space-time you call it) but cannot see the whole. For all that is matter we see only a grain as though in a sea of sand.

All that is the whole is also the centre, and both are of the Singularity, the infinite energy, and are caused by the Infinite Intelligence.

And what that means for Human Beings, is that you are not what you generally think you are. You are much more than you allow yourselves to be.
